Do I need an account?
No — ever. Sync uses the iCloud account already on your device, so there is nothing to create, verify or sign in to.
Where is my data stored?
On your devices, synced through Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud database. You own it; we run no servers and never see it.
Does Boop work offline?
Fully. Your device is the source of truth and every screen reads locally; CloudKit catches the sync up whenever you reconnect.
What does carry-over actually do?
An unfinished one-off task moves to today and gets a “carried” badge — moved, never duplicated. Repeating tasks start fresh each day instead of piling up.
Can I get my data out?
Yes — Settings has Export data, which writes everything to a single JSON file you keep. Import brings it back on any device. The live data is plain, readable files on device and in your own iCloud either way.
Is there an Android or Windows app?
